Working with Kids

I have also done a series of Story time & Craft sessions, where I get kids to focus on a single fairy tale. After an animated reading of the story, I work with the kids to create a craft and discussion about one or more of the main topics and messages I want them to take home with them. From Dr. Suess's "Horton Hears a Who" they made a piece of elephant art with the message "A person is a person no matter how small". For the reading of the tale of "Little Red Riding Hood" the kids created a paper wolf to take home with some tips about staying away from strangers. In these sessions I try to use art and literature to help children think about a greater topic or idea.

Among other places I have worked with The Great Little Trading Company in their Wandsworth Showroom to help them with their Six Weeks of Summer children's activities program. It was a great success!
